First Impressions

Right from unboxing, the Avian Falcon II impresses with a premium feel. The cockpit arrived carefully packaged in a sturdy, well-designed box, giving the sense that the product inside is something special. Foam padding and protective film ensured that every surface remained unscathed during transit. The raw carbon finish gleams with a subtle sheen that exudes quality. The included carbon computer mount and a free custom spacer further highlight Avian’s attention to detail, rounding out an excellent first impression.

Ride Feel

On the road, the Falcon II lives up to its race-oriented promises. The cockpit feels reassuringly stiff and responsive, with no noticeable flex even during hard sprints. Contrary to some forum posts on Chinertown and Weight Weenies that raised concerns about potential lack of stiffness, our testing revealed no such issues. The Falcon II not only looks clean and integrated, but also performs impressively under load. Whether charging up climbs or unleashing a sprint, the cockpit holds its line confidently, translating power efficiently to the front wheel. The slight flare in the drops adds control during aggressive riding, while the ergonomic tops make it easy to maintain a relaxed position on longer rides.

Installation Experience

Installation of the Falcon II is a mixed bag. While the cockpit supports both full and semi-internal cable routing, achieving full integration requires patience and meticulous routing. It can easily take an hour or more to achieve a truly clean look, depending on your bike’s compatibility. The included custom spacer is a nice touch, but the quality feels slightly less premium than the rest of the cockpit. That said, the end result is a clean, aero front end that looks sharp and complements modern bike builds beautifully.
